Ge Air Conditioner Error Code 88 [FIXED]

ByRalph P. Sita Updated onFebruary 5, 2025

If you encounter error code 88 on your GE air conditioner, it’s essential to address the issue promptly, as this code points to a malfunction in the flow sensor. The flow sensor plays a critical role in monitoring the refrigerant flow into the compressor, and its functionality can be compromised by obstructions, dirty air filters, or faulty wiring.

To resolve this error, begin troubleshooting your AC unit immediately. Start by inspecting the system for any debris that may be impeding airflow, such as leaves or dirt. Next, check the air filters if they are clogged with dust, clean or replace them to ensure optimal airflow. Lastly, verify that all internal wiring connections are secure and undamaged, as wear and tear can lead to loose or faulty connections.

Once you have completed these steps, you can reset your GE air conditioner to clear the error code and restore normal operation. Timely action can prevent further damage to your unit, ensuring it functions efficiently and effectively.
