  1. If our ptac is frosting over a copper lining as soon as the unit is powered on what could be the cause?

    1. There are a few possible causes for this:

      * Refrigerant leak. The refrigerant is what helps to cool the air in the PTAC. If there is a leak, the refrigerant will not be able to do its job and the unit will not be able to cool properly.
      * Dirty or clogged coils. The coils in the PTAC are responsible for transferring heat from the air to the refrigerant. If the coils are dirty or clogged, they will not be able to transfer heat as efficiently and the unit will not be able to cool properly.
      * Low airflow. If the airflow through the PTAC is restricted, the unit will not be able to cool properly. This can be caused by a dirty filter, a blocked vent, or a problem with the fan.
      * Compressor problem. The compressor is the heart of the PTAC and it is responsible for circulating the refrigerant. If the compressor is not working properly, the unit will not be able to cool properly.
      I hope this help!
